since there is some military guys in here, I was wondering yalls opinion on the movie hurt locker. its a pretty badass movie in my opinion but a lot of guys said it wasnt how it is over in the desert. if you havent seen it, redbox ftw.

I thought it was a pretty badass movie. My roommate is in the army and was bitching about it the whole time it was playing though. He said the rangers are some bad dudes.

i thought it was great. It seemed like it is the most realistic war movie out there, but i've never been overseas so i'm no expert.
Normally when you see a sniper like saving private ryan or band of brothers, they are like pow pow and all the bad guys are dead. In hurtlocker though they were watching that bunker all day.
I think if you made a completely realistic experience in a movie, it would be kinda boring. That being said my favorite part is when they are doing the car bomb and the guys are filming it and you don't know what's about to go down or if they are bad guys or not. it was intense for me.
I'd hate to be put in that position because i would have started shooting. i'd rather be alive and make a mistake then be dead and have followed the rules. You aren't gonna be filming me and sending signals and stuff to other guys and me just stand around.
